Back 40 Butchery is a USDA-inspected facility located in Hodges, South Carolina. We are proud to offer custom and USDA-inspected processing for domestic pigs and cattle. Our mission is to deliver top-quality processing combined with outstanding customer service, ensuring every customer’s needs are met with professionalism and care.

Slaughter Fee

   -Beef: $95.00

   -Pig: $75.00

Processing Rate

   -Beef (custom): $1.40/lb

   -Beef (inspected for resale): $1.60/lb

   -Pig (custom): $1.40/lb

   -Pig (inspected for resale): $1.60/lb

Pricing is based on carcass hanging weight.

All animals are processed entirely at our facility in Hodges, SC. Beef carcasses are dry-aged for 10 to 21 days to enhance flavor and texture. Our highly skilled butchers handcraft premium cuts, which are vacuum-sealed to preserve quality and freshness. The final cuts are then blast frozen to ensure they arrive at your home in peak condition.
